photo montages are great for any occasion. Many people play montages at birthday parties, class reunions,
engagement announcements, rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, and anniversary parties. People also may
get picture montages just as a keepsake to pass along to their grandchildren. For example, a rehearsal dinner
montage may tell in pictures and music the stories of two lives before and after they met.
We can make DVD photo montages from supplied digital images or from scanned traditional photographs. Pictures
used to make the montage can be sent to us via E-mail or sent via a postal service. The better the quality of
the photo, the better it will look in the montage even though retouching is done. Anything sent online needs to
be at a resolution of at least 300 dpi or at least 1024 X 768 pixels to look good in the montage. A .TIFF or .jpg
format should be used. Photos can also be sent on a CD and saved as a .jpg, or .TIFF file. Again the resolution
needs to be 300 dpi or greater or at least 1024 X 768 pixels. Polaroid photos should be avoided. If all of this
technical jargon is confusing to you please email or call us. Your precious photos will be promptly returned in
the same condition we receive them.
If you are mailing your photos we recommend you send them via a shipping service that provides a tracking number so you can trace your
package. Please write "Do Not Bend" or use a photo mailer for prints. CDs should be labeled "Fragile". We
recommend you also insert cardboard in your mailer. There are postal mailers specifically designed for photos
that already include cardboard for a small fee at your local post office. For extra protection, you can also
place your photos in a plastic bag incase the package gets wet. If photos are especially valuable or
irreplaceable, please have copies made of them BEFORE sending your originals to us or please add insurance for
the cost of replacement should they get lost in the mail. We have never had photos lost in route but there can
always be a first time.
If any title slides are requested, clearly tell us EXACTLY what you want. Be especially careful with the
spelling of names and dates. Also indicate what retouching might be requested on each photo. We are not
responsible if you spell something wrong or forget to request something. If we make a mistake, it will be
corrected at no charge. If you are sending traditional photos by mail please put your name on the back of each
one if possible, along with your order/sequence preference.
Photos show up best onscreen when oriented horizontally. If you have taken a picture vertically, it will not
occupy all of the space on your screen. The result will be black down the side of your screen. This is actually
a black background showing through the blank space. This looks fine but just be aware of it. We can leave your
color images colorized, turn them black and white, sepia tone, or a mixture at your request.
Prices are listed below, and are based on the number of photos included in the montage.
Setup Fee: $50.00 plus $1.00 per photo and $1.00 per song. (Again the resolution needs to be at least 300 dpi or
1024 X 768 pixels)
Each photo montage includes a DVD of your montage, retouching, resizing, and digital editing of photos for best
looking images, title and credit slides (beginning and end) and a DVD menu. You may choose how long to display
each photo - most montages display each picture between 4 and 8 seconds. You may also choose whether to zoom in
or zoom out on each photo to create moving pictures. Additional DVD copies of your finished montage may be
purchased for $10.00 each. Finished montages are archived for 1 year.
